I believe that many people are more interested on SISX freeware for Nokia N73. I might have not included all the SISX freeware available in the Net. So, if you’ve found some other Symbian freeware, please help to share the base too!

SISX is an installation file format. It’s used to package software that’s developed for running on Symbian OS S60 3rd Edition User Interface.

These SISX freeware are fully compatible with Nokia N73, particularly ALL smart-phones that are powered by Symbian OS S60 3rd Edition User Interface. Some of these freeware also include a SIS freeware version to install on smart-phone powered by Symbian OS S60 (pre 3rd Edition). I’ve tested some of these SISX freeware with Nokia N73 Music Edition, and still working fine at this moment. So, you may try them on your own risk.

TaskSpy for Symbian S60
If you’re adventurous enough, TaskSpy is a great SISX freeware system utility to satisfy your curiosity. It’s similar to Windows Vista Task Manager for comparison. So, TaskSpy is essentially the task manager for Symbian OS S60 3rd Edition User Interface.
You can use TaskSpy to inspect your Nokia N73 CPU utilization, memory usage, free memory available to run processes, display threads execution status, finding installed applications, terminating application, display panic information, etc.
NSysInfo for S60 3rd Edition
Similar to TaskSpy, NSysInfo is another task manager of Symbian OS system utility which shows full information about smart-phone, such as firmware version, IMEI, signal strength, battery level, memory amount, processor and screen types, lists all supported features, saving smart-phone system information into file for reference.

Isn’t it easier to calculate with a scroll button or joystick rather than numeric key-pad? Calcium is absolute a good alternative freeware to replace the built-in calculator of Symbian OS S60! It makes calculation faster and easier with the scroll button of smart-phone such as Nokia N73 in Nokia N-Series!

If you’ve just taken a guitar class, you may like to install this guitar note in your smart-phone! Chords for S60 is a handy SISX freeware that displays guitar chords for your reference and learning on the move. All you’ve to do is select a note, a key and a position on the fretboard and Chords for S60 will show you where to put your fingers.

It’s working exactly as the PC Print Screen button, but it has more features to offer! Screen-shot for Symbian OS is a great Print Screen SISX freeware used for screen-shooting. Included features are automatically saving screen-shoots in JPEG, PNG, BMP or MBM picture file format, customize Print Screen shortcut key, timer for a delay screen capturing, or continuous mode of screen-shooting at every a few seconds.
ScreenSnapS60
ScreenSnapS60 is yet another screen capture SISX freeware, which includes almost similar set of features and functions offers by Screen-shot for Symbian OS S60.
SExplorer 1.0 – Simple file explorer
SExplorer, or Simple File Explorer, allows users to browser all files / folders on a smart-phone built-in memory (for example, the C: drive of Nokia N73). SExplorer supports C: D: E: and Z: drive (of a smart-phone running on Symbian OS S60, such as Nokia N73), open file according to file type, rename, copy, move, delete files / directories, create new folders and edit small text files under 200 bytes.
Y-Browser
Similar to SExplorer, Y-Browser is a file explorer for smart-phone running on Symbian OS S60. It implements most of the standard file explorer features such as copy, cut, paste, create, remove, etc.
English Dictionary 2.0 For S60 3rd Edition
Pickup a word to learn on each day while you’re riding on the tube to work! This is a bulky SISX freeware – a 2.4MB installation file size and using as much as 6MB of phone memory after installation! In addition, the dictionary word lookup interface is a bit not user-friendly. Anyway, it’s free and helps to improve English vocabulary while you’re on the move.

Websters dictionary is another freeware SISX dictionary, the sibling of English Dictionary 2.0 For S60 3rd Edition. Although, this is only a client, require Macromedia Series 60 flash player and instant-on Internet connection to fetch dictionary word definition from online web server.
Using ShoZu to upload photo and video
ShoZu won the GSM Association award for best Mobile Messaging Service and the CTIA Emerging Technology award for the best mobile entertainment application. ShoZu centralize the way to upload photos and videos to Buzznet, Flickr, Textamerica, Kodak EasyShare Gallery, Webshots, etc, download comments posted by viewers for offline reading, non-intrusive data transfer happen in the background without interrupting normal phone usage. Although the client is a freeware, but the service offer may not be the same case.
Send cheaper SMS with ClickSMS
ClickSMS is using Clickatell SMS gateway to send SMS, which support both text SMS and flash SMS. The advantage of cost-saving is significant if you’re sending SMS while you’re roaming aboard.
SymTorrent
SymTorrent is a BitTorrent client for Symbian OS. Do you need more elaboration on this client? Well, it’s used to download and upload file sharing in Torrent network with a smart-phone powered by Symbian OS. If there is an affordable 3G unlimited data download package, SymTorrent should be a must-have SISX freeware in your phone memory!

Relaying stock quote information in a 15-minutes delayed fashion. It’s not useful for day traders or stock market speculators, but it’s useful to investors!
UK Railway Station Schedule
It’s a nice Symbian OS application for Britain, which search and display UK railway stations schedule according to station code entered.
