How To Flash Gtx 680 For Mac
The GeForce GTX 680 Mac Edition was a high-end graphics card by NVIDIA, launched in April 2013. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the GK104 graphics processor, in its GK104-400-A2 variant, the card supports DirectX 12. Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 110, which can be problematic with newer DirectX 12 titles. Once flashed it will behave like an EVGA Mac Edition GTX 680, everything the 'official' card can do, the flashed card can do.-It will work in windows boot camp without issue, just install the latest Windows Drivers from Nvidia.-To flash the card in windows bootcamp: download EVGA Mac Bios. Hi guys first things first:) this card wasnt mine before. I've made a cheap deal on ebay. Im looking around for a few days till now but i wasnt able to find any working answers. Looks like the prevous owner flashed the bios of a gtx 680 on it. Im trying to repair this little bitch.
EVGA GeForce GTX 680 2048MB GDDR5, DVI, DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort, 4-way SLI Ready Graphics Card Graphics Cards 02G-P4-2680-KR 4.2 out of 5 stars 83 NVIDIA Titan X 12 GB for Mac Pro 2008-2012 (Much Better Than GTX 980 Ti; Graphics Card Upgrade KIT; 4K and 5K Support). The GTX 680 for Mac looks like the best choice for me (being officially approved by Adobe and getting generally great reviews). Unfortunately, Apple seems to be going in a different direction with the 'Pro' line of computers and there's a good chance I won't be getting their 2013 model (it's small and offers no expandability).
Hmmm, i didnt try the gtx 680. But ... it should work.
Gtx 680 Wiki
I own a flashed gtx 980 ti in my mp 2010/5.1, this one works perfect.
Unflashed grafic cards for windows systems should work, but they dont show the booting screens, until osx has fully loaded. So in case of booting problems you will not see any error screens, and the osx boot volume selection screen (where you choose between osx and boot camp) cannot be displayed.
Flashed grafic cards will show you the boot screens too.
Have a look at http://www.macvidcards.com/, they have a wide variety of grafic cards, from low cost up to high end. And they have a flashing service for many pc cards.
